PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN

Blessed Sacrament Preschool offers separate programs for 3 year olds and 4 year olds. Full day and half day programs are available as well as a 2-5 day per week option for 3 year olds and a 3-5 day per week option for the 4 year olds. Our Preschool uses a curriculum that promotes learning through centers, storytelling and a variety of hands on materials and techniques that will enhance your child’s natural curiosity for learning, as well as building a Christian Character of loving and caring towards others. Preschoolers will develop the necessary skills to be ready for the challenges of Kindergarten and guide them in the foundation of the Catholic Faith. Both before and after school care is available for preschool students. Students must be 3 and 4 years old by September 1st and COMPLETELY potty-trained to enroll in our program.

Our full day Kindergarten Program is designed to provide a wide variety of opportunities for students that promote a sense of wonder, excitement, and love of learning. Our Kindergarten Program emphasizes Reading and Mathematical skills with additional opportunities for spiritual, social, and physical growth. By the end of Kindergarten, children are able to read at their own ability level, organize information, and develop a strong sense of social responsibility. Students must be 5 years old by September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten.

In addition to our general education curriculum, Preschool students participate in Physical Education. Kindergarten students participate in Technology, Music, Art, Physical Education, and Enrichment.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION (Preschool- 8th grade)

Warm-up and fitness activities are done at the beginning of each class.

We like the old fashioned:  Four-square, SPUD and Red Light

The new: Pillow Polo, Speedball and People from Mars

And the unusual: Ghostbusters and Human Tic Tac Toe
